I said I would post updated pictures of my rig a while back and never got around to it because school got crazy :shame2:

Anyway, here are some updates

The biggest changes:
Switched from dual 5870's to a single 6970
Switched from a Corsair 950TX to a 750HX(Modular)
Added an HDD or two...

View from the back:

A bit messy but, the case had no cable management and I had to cut my own holes so it will have to do... :hysterical:

Put back together:

Back in place:

Note, I switched from a wallmount to a deskmount for my second monitor...

To prove I've been very busy look how abused my lacrosse sticks look: :shame2:

And to those who remember my lizard Dusty, he has grown quite large:

That's about it, school finished up earlier this week so I should be around more. :grin1:

I love my desk, that plus a backlit keyboard is killer.

The reason I got a deskmount for my monitor is so I can keep my desk when I move out. :grin1:

Wow! That looks amazing! I never knew you had a lizard! He's so lovely :) And I never knew you had lacrosse sticks painted on your wall either :p

I have an Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard - Retail - Newegg.com

I am not much of a gamer and didn't feel like paying the premium for blue/brown switches so I went this route, I bought it when it was $40 and love it!
My lizard is quite lovely, I have had him for almost two years now. Got him when he was a few weeks old two summers ago.

And yes my room is laxed out, I have my two sticks up on a shelf and then lacrosse sticks painted on my walls.
Also, just got back from Warped tour!

Blessthefall rocked the show! I'm a little beat up physically from the moshes and mentally from all the weird things that go on in portland... (Sex in the mosh being one of them... :confused2:)

Anyway, Sisters graduation tomorrow, mine on Tuesday and then I get to build a deck in my backyard :grin1:

Man you are crazy busy! That's funny I was actually thinking about buying that keyboard at one point! But red isn't my thing and gives me headaches.

But anyways, I'm off to clean everything down. I've got a long busy day ahead of me!

I do, it's more work :lolg:
Here are a few pictures from today, sorry there are only a few and they aren't very close... Portland has some crazy people as where the pits making pulling my Camera out difficult...

First up

They are a little too Hardcore for my liking but, my friend liked it so we rocked it... :lolg:

Second

This is a hit or miss band for me, I like their lighter songs while hate their heavier ones. Overall, their performance was the best and easily took the show.

Anyway, I'm exhausted and heading off to bed, more pictures in the coming days.

I was beginning to wonder why you were up at 1AM then I realized wait 1AM is 11PM your time.

Either way, looks like you had a blast.

More work my butt Geoff, it takes an extra 1/4 of an inch and an extra ounce of pressure... seriously?

I think the debate is in mechanical switches or contact keys.

I prefer contact keys, they tend to be quieter and have a "softer impact" touch to the fingers.

What type of switches?

Reds are loud and have the actuation very low. I prefer blues and browns where the actual actuation is about half way through the key press, they are almost always quieter than membrane keyboards just somewhat hard to find as they aren't the most popular.

-_- Geez, I really need to catch up.

The common switch that comes to mind would be your Cherry MX Switch. Blues and browns, I never really heard about until you said something.

My logitech Illuminated Keyboard uses a "laptop keyboard" approach. I love the keyboard but they are not intended for key mashing, my friend found that out when I bought him one and he broke it the day after. At $99, I was like nope you're not getting a new one, I'm getting my own. The keys are kinda like the sidewinder.

Speaking of laptops, I can't for the life of me figure out how HP gets their keyboards (and desktop) so flipping quiet, with the exception of the spacebar and enter keys at times.

Back again,

I went to my sisters graduation at the University of Oregon on Monday.

It was at Matthew Knight which is quite spectacular. The last time I saw it was a couple years ago prior to it being completed at a Lacrosse camp.

After a couple speeches to the grads they broke everyone up by department for smaller ceremonies. My sister's major is in Human Physiology so we ended up here:

Fast forward a day and it was my turn.

Being part of the ceremony I wasn't really able to take many pictures, here is one of my girlfriend and I to those who remember know of her:

Lastly a picture of all the random things I got:
