I have no shame. :grin1: I posted this in another forum some time ago and have not received a reply so I thought I'd try here.

I use WordPress to publish articles and usually copy and paste from the finished article to WordPress but since I reinstalled Win 7 this no longer works as paste is no longer an option when I right click in WordPress, or at least in the particular part that I need it to. I can, however, do it in Internet Explorer, but images aren't copied over, which they used to be. I've tried all the usual things like clearing the cache, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I don't use WordPress but have run into a similar experience with images and Firefox 11.0. Where copy/paste of images used to work, I now need to right-click the image > select view the image, click Edit > select all > right-click copy. I can then paste the image.

I'm using 10.0.2 It used to work but now doesn't since I reinstalled Win 7.

Articles. I used to be able to do it by copying the finished post and pasting it in to WP. Someguy201 can still do it so it's not a problem with WP.

Tech Support Forum Articles section I would guess (but that is only a guess)...

EDIT: @JohnthePilot: Does Ctrl-V work for you?
Unfortunately, no. At least, it copies the text, but not the images. Previously I used to be able to copy everything.

The process we use (and which still works for someguy201) is simply to copy the post including images and paste it into WordPress. We then replace the images with ones we upload to WordPress.

It's always worked for me when I've tested it in Firefox. Just tested in 10.0.2, and version 11.0. Images are copied over fine in both versions.

Maybe a shot in the dark but...

Try increasing your virtual memory(paging file) then restarting...

Hi John, try using one of the Pale Moon browser versions as a test; there are portable, zip and installer versions in x86 and x64 flavours, it doesn't use the FX profile but all plugins like Java and Flash will be auto-loaded, probably best to test without any extensions to begin with.

There is a profile migration tool available to import all extensions, settings, etc. from FX - in this case, that may just import the problem you're currently seeing though!

Waterfox uses the same profile as Firefox, if the profile contains the glitch, it won't help.

(If you've actually tested PMx64 v. Waterfox - try Peacekeeper and Dromaeo - you may just find PM to be faster too ;))

Thanks Guys; I'll give these options a go but I shouldn't have to change browser. It used to work with FF and FF still works for Someguy201. It's got to be something on my machine.

The problem could be in your Firefox profile (which is why testing Waterfox wouldn't be much good); you could make a new FX profile to test - hold down Left Shift and click your Firefox icon to start it to the options/safe mode window where you can create/select a new profile.

Tried and failed to make a new profile, or did starting FX from a new profile not fix the problem?
