Firefox, WordPress, Win 7 or me at fault

Well, this isn't going to be much help - but I believe something is borked :)

It's (IMO) either your Windows or your WordPress.
Can you reinstall your WordPress to see if that fixes it (it's simpler than reinstalling Windows).

Can you check to see if you have any System Restore points from before this behavior started? If so, you may want to give that a try to see if it's fixable that way.

Unfortunately, I have no restore points as this problem started as soon as I'd reinstalled Win 7. Strangely enough, when I go back to my original Win 7 installation, I have the problem there, but I didn't before reinstalling to a new partition. (My reason for reinstalling was unrelated to this.) The WP I'm using is under the control of TSF Admin so I can't touch it.

For some reason, I just don't associate context menu issues with shell extensions. Recently I performed this search for "context menu troubleshooting" ( https://www.google.com/search?q=con...rg.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-beta )

And I found this link: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm
Although it's for XP, it does work in Vista/Win7 (I've tested it with other posters).

You can get the program for free from here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
Disable the 3rd party (non-Microsoft) shell extensions, reboot, and see if the problem has been fixed.
If it has, then go through the disabled items in groups of 5 until you find an offending group.
Then go through the offending group until you find the troublesome bugger that's causing this.

Good luck!
