The Frigid Northeast

Cold and snowy here in the UK as well with snow widespread across the majority of the country. It's actually snowing as I type right now.

Highs of 1C today (33.8F). Where I live it's meant to snow today and tomorrow. Many schools have closed due to the weather over the past week. Snow first arrived Friday, been snowing on and off ever since really.

It is better here in the east than Minnesota where my daughter & her family live, although much colder further north. Currently they have a balmy 13°F, although it "Feels like: 7°". It is warmer than the predicted High or 11°. The forecast for the low? -19°. This is a major improvement over Monday's wind chill of -33°.

Lot of the same going on here in Chicagoland.
Had our first sub-zero over night low since February 2011 so almost two years.
I think this whole global warming thing has all spoiled.

You see that strip in oregon unaffected by the cold front? AKA: The Willamette Valley which just happens to be the location of my hometown of Salem, OR...

It hasn't been too cold here, usually mid 30s... Insanely foggy recently though...

I was out snowboarding on mount hood last weekend... Crystal clear with highs in the 60s... Just odd...

Correct. The ice-covered fireman above was from a fire yesterday in New York State. The Chicago, IL fire was on January 23. The pictures from the Chicago warehouse fire, like the one below, are almost surreal.
