Enigma Software Group sues every website and company that give their products a bad review even though it really is a piece of ... software. They cannot have it their way with BleepingComputer, not going to happen. Past accusations they made against various companies: Threats Against Spyware Detectors, Removers, and Critics

Help BleepingComputer Defend Freedom of Speec I wish Bleeping Computer luck. Maybe they can turn the tables and seek a legal remedy themself. A frivolous lawsuit at best by Enigma Software. BleepingComputer is one of the major Computer Support and Malware Removal forum, deeply involved in the IT Security community so I doubt it'll be that easy this time.

However, I learned something the other night that resulted in getting quietman7's permission to publish this article: Support quietman7 in Enigma vs Bleeping Computer Lawsuit. If you aren't in a position to help (although every little bit adds up), please share in Twitter, Facebook or other social media sites. Thanks! BTW, I did read somewhere that BC had raised over $70,000 toward their defense. Based on the cost/hour for attorney fees and the number of billable hours involved in preparing responses, affidavits, etc., it isn't unrealistic. Small-town lawyers may chare $100 to $200 an hour but lawyers in larger metro areas typically charge $200 to $400 an hour -- and even more if they have expertise in specialized areas!
