hi my windows update says error coad 8024402f and my internet is runing slow and keeps crashing. i have tryed micro fix it but still not working also tryed your update tool it downloaded a kb file but still not working ive also factory restore pc too did not work ps wont let me attach cbs zip explorer playing up

What happened when you tried the factory restore? Did it fail, or did it delete everything but still the problems persist? If it failed, did you get any error codes or messages you remember? Even just a description or any fragments of the error message you remember will help.

it restored and put everything to factory but it also sayed not all file could be restored but cant remember them just the one i gave you i keep trying to attach cbs zip but its just keeps trying to upload with no joy

Sorry I have been so busy. Actually, there is no need for CBS.log at this time. We can work without it.

Your error code is basically a network problem, it means that your internet is having problems. But you already know that. So we can work without it for the time being at least.

When you factory reset, was everything working well immediately after that, and then things got worse again, or did it remain bad?

And do any other computers or devices in your house have internet problems?

when i restored it was still the same error coad i have ps3 which connects no bother and my partners mobile though wifi

Those particular errors you are seeing are completely normal and nothing to be concerned about. But well done for picking them out :) In fact, I don't really need CBS.log for this particular case. Your Windows Update error is just caused by a dodgy internet connection, probably nothing more.

What sort of personal data do you have on this machine which might need backing up? Photos, music, documents, etc. etc.

Are they already backed up, or not?

And what make (Dell, Toshiba, Sony, etc. etc.) and model number is this computer?

photos music docs backed up but not any thing to do with system its a acer aspire x3450. amd athlon(tm) x4 645 processor 3.10 ghz. ram 6gb. 64bit op. windows 7 home premium. snid 14903772492. ptsg0e20241490935c9201. dont know if this helps broadband though sky sagem router
