I think my thread title says it all. I'm tired of the drama, accusations pointed my way, rumors that have surfaced about me, and then there is the pressure to keep up with threads and feeling burnt out on SevenForums. I'm walking away from SevenForums and Sysnative. I may be back in a year or two, or I may not. As of now, I do not foresee a return in the near future. This has been a very stressful day...

As we said earlier, the most important thing is that you take care of what is truly important. Your real life beckons. We will still be here if/when you want to return.

Keep in Touch

Mike,

My motto has always been, "When it stops being fun, that's when I'll stop." You, like the rest of us are volunteers, trying to help in our small way. Help others where you want to, when you want to, merely because you want to help, because you enjoy it. It isn't your paid job.

As Wrench97 said, take a deep breath. Things will settle down.

Sorry to hear you have had a rough day...

If you would ever like to come back you are more than welcome here even if it is just to socialize with friends.

Keep in touch and take care of yourself,

-Geoff

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kindness that has been shown through this thread and from members of the forum who saw the thread. The stress has been building for a couple months, and I hit the top today. I'll be taking at least a couple weeks to recover, and I'll see where things go from there.

I'll be speaking with John (jcgriff2) this weekend to help determine some of that where.

Looking forward to it, Mike.

Please take care of yourself first & foremost - I know all too well how the stress can build.

Take it easy Mike.

Trying to, thanks. :)

Yeah, it has subsided a bit the past couple days at least.

You're welcome 'back home' any time Mike.

I'm back, but in a more social context. Thanks for keeping the door open with the welcome mat down. ;)

Mike

Taking some poetic license on an old saying, our home is your home. You are always welcome.

Everyone said it best in here, take a few breaths. If you wish to take a break from analysis, take it... you deserve it for sure. I'm sure it has all crossed our minds and train of thought a few times, and it was already mentioned... but what we do here (BSOD analysis, etc) is all volunteer and we do it because we want to. We spread knowledge and solve issues for free, and welcome others who wish to do the same with open arms. That alone at the end of the day makes it all worth it for me.

Just a few months ago a blue screen to me was a screen that was colored blue with a bunch of hieroglyphics. Now, because of you guys, and the will to learn, I work everyday to satisfy user's and work to solve their issues with the help of my peers.

I took breaths. And then I got blown away by something that happened at SevenForums today. I am no longer with the SevenForums community.

I'm sorry, Mike. I hope this doesn't discourage you from further development of the BSOD app -- perhaps after a few more breaths.

Mike get some down time, if you find you want to post more then what is possible here at the moment, I can help you out with that :)

Right now, I'll settle for the down time. I may get the itch to post more again in the coming weeks, but I have been spread very very thin for months keeping up with C&D. The real losers in this ordeal are those I was in the process of helping and helping to learn debugging. Most of the threads I was helping in were pretty much ready to be solved, I think. I tried to give people as many troubleshooting steps as possible this past week so they wouldn't have to keep coming back for help.

Anyone willing to keep an eye on those I was mentoring? They're likely to make mistakes and may cause some problems for OPs. I can give user names if someone offers, although you can probably figure it out if you see one of the threads. Some very green helpers on the loose at Seven C&D right now.

Edit:

Just to be clear, Stephen (Tekno Venus), although fairly new to C&D, is probably ready to be on his own. He does good work with his analysis. He is not one of my newest trainees I allude to.

Edit2:
It's terrible to see you go but I understand why you had to leave. Have fun at Sysnative Mike, I'm certain you'll love it here.

I was sorry to go. There are a lot of good people I wish I had given my contact info to: gregrocker, golden, essenbe (hopefully he visits here some), etc. Some good friends I made there. I miss the people, but I do not miss the stress.
