Hi,

Recently (as of about 4 days ago) my only one month old Acer Laptop started experiencing frequent BSODs, now coming after only about 20 minutes of run time. I tried a system restore to the day before they started occurring, but it failed. I also uninstalled drivers so any unimportant program and one that was corrupt on the perfmon test. Not being much more computer literate than that, I'm not sure what else to do so I'm turning to you if you could help out. I would verify drivers, but each time I try the laptop BSODs before the test can complete.

Here's all system info and required files:
- Windows 8 x64 (Original, OEM version)
- Age of Hardware - one month
- Age of OS - never reinstalled

- CPU - i5-3230M
- Video Card - NVIDIA GT730M (2GB)
- 500 GB Hard Drive, 5400 RPM, 4 GB RAM

- System - Acer Aspire V3-571G-6622

View attachment Performance Results.zip - Prior to uninstalling Integrated driver that is listed as corrupt, but I won't have the time before it BSODs to run the test again

No Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 47 - 57 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

These devices have problems:
Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0166&SUBSYS_06471025&REV_09\3&11583659&0&10 39

Bluetooth USB Module USB\VID_0489&PID_E04E\6&226C637B&0&1 This device is disabled.
Is the Bluetooth deliberately disabled? If so, why?

The other error is that the system can't load the driver for your Intel HD Graphics. Please:
- download a fresh set of the latest, Win8 compatible Intel graphics drivers from the Acer website (your system has dual graphics controllers)
- uninstall the current Intel graphics drivers
- install the freshly downloaded drivers

Also, please remove then reinstall a fresh copy of the EgisTec Inc. Fingerprint Biometrics as they are the oldest drivers present in most of the memory dumps.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

I'll install the necessary drivers when I get the chance, thanks for identifying.

But here's the thing I don't understand about the Windows updates (I thought this wasn't the problem, but I guess now that I look into it more this is stranger than I thought). Here are screenshots from the Windows update screen. Windows seems to think I have all the necessary updates installed, but none are actually there. What could be the result of this, and what could be a solution?

Hello :)

• Please download the System Update Readiness Tool from Microsoft ->here<-. Save the tool to a convenient location as it may be necessary to run it again.
• After the download has completed, double-click the file and wait while it initializes.
• Click Yes to begin installation.

Once it has finished (please be patient, it may take 45mins to an hour to complete), please:

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.

Then please upload the newly created CBS.zip file to your next post.

Thank you!

Richard
