Please Move The Deer Crossing!

We live in a heavily populated deer area with a deer crossing sign by our house so this video had us laughing hysterically.

Picture I took in July through the kitchen window of some of our regular visitors out in the front yard:

The caller really believes that the "Deer Crossing" signs are there to instruct the deer where to cross?????

Wow, I hate to say it, but she's the reason we have a few words in the dictionary today :lol:

edit: Some days, I think the government is run by these kinds of people as well lol. I couldn't help but to hold my forhead up with my hand as soon as I heard her reasoning.

You have GOT to be kidding me.

I'd like to know where they are on the interstate tho. I don't normally see them.

I'm more concerned with watching dummy drivers and objects that are not supposed to be in the roadway. like animals, trash, semi tires, ect. I'm also watching for truckers that just merge without watching.

One last thing, if I'm doing 70 - 75mph. Chances of me slowing down in time.... that isn't happening.

Just like one night bringing a friend and I home on a dark county road. I had my brights on. I seen the deer and at least he hopped out of the way. But I still think it was funny that a few minutes after missing the deer I hit a skunk.... I'm like what the heck.... What are the odds of that....

I don't recall deer crossing signs on Interstates either, but many other odd ones during the dozens of trips to Florida and cross-country to California.

On I-40 in NM or possibly TX Panhandle, huge signs for "Local Attractions".

One local attraction sign on I-40 read "City dump and Sewage treatment plant".

No worries there, because I would probably run over anything moving that slow on the highway! :lol:

I don't know if it is a farce or not but certainly hope so. Otherwise, to think someone of that mentality will be voting in November is particularly scary.

BTW, I really don't understand the woman's problem. Perhaps North Dakota & Minnesota deer aren't trained as they are here. I've seen them check for traffic before attempting to cross the street shown in the picture I posted. Fortunately, none of the vehicles travel at John's speed records.

There are lots of deer crossing signs in Colorado on the interstates that go east to west through the mountain areas.

George Carlin had a routine about moving the deer crossings to more convenient areas. :lol: The woman stole his routine!

I guess I missed that as I had taken my meds which make me a little anxious. The meds are for stool softening so I never know when and how far I can leave my laptop. heheehhe
