I did java a few years back, i know javascript much better.
If you need some assistant i know of a few programmers.

what i am doing - plowing through the "heads up java" book
what i wanna doing - write a simple ping (and later other indicators) response display screen / logger (like the popular program, "what's up")
what i have done -
- microsoft access front end for an sql db (including reporting (print and visual) and data update) (side work)
- wrote a simple graphic game in basic (not vb) to dock a space ship on a rotating space station (x, y, z +rotation)
what i am not - a programmer!
