Ok, before I do this I researched something mor on the path you lead me. Seems that I had the totally wrong installation packages for IE9 and 10, which I can see if I check IE10_main.log and IE9_main.log.
So it took me a long time to find the right Installation module for IE9 in German Server 2008 R2 64 bit, which I have now, and also the IE10.
I redid IE9 installation, the log looks fine now, but the Browser does not start - it's coming up and then vanishes. IE10 also still fails with :
1:40.854: INFO: Process 'C:\Windows\SysNative\dism.exe /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\Windows\TEMP\IE1E1E6.tmp\IE10-neutral.Downloaded.cab /quiet /norestart' exited with exit code 0x000036B3 (14003)
01:40.854: ERROR: Neutral package installation failed (exit code = 0x000036b3 (14003)).
Seems like an Assembly from IE9 is missing - I even created this link from this post :
I get error 9C59 when updating Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 for - Microsoft Community
to the DISM.exe directory (directory c:\Windows\sysnative did not exist), but unfortunately it did not help. IE9 is still the program that is noted in Program and Features updates.
Now I will go back to create the RegBak for you and send you those files.
Please excuse me - I am not used to hald my hands still for so long ;-)
Thanks & regards,
Thomas.
