[h=1]I was deleting a bunch of old Registry export files, remotely. :r1: Just some cleanup on nas. Not sure which one got me.:hysterical: Gee!
Well I double clicked one, OOPS! and screw up the my registry.:omg::sad: Gee![/h]It was an old export file for the LT, about 6 months. :s6:

Any solutions to delete last registry import would be helpful. As system restore may have been turned off. But won't fix this screw up.

Hello :)

Sadly, there is no reverse feature unless you have any other registry backups - ERUNT or the like, perhaps created by some anti-malware tool. That or a disk image or the like.

But, depending on what the registry script was, a manual reverse may be possible. Please zip up and upload the registry script you imported here.

I now! I screw myself. I import and export all the time. First here, OOPS! And no current backup export.
After I make perfect systems, I do export the whole thing per Pc/Lt. Was going to do that after a got the old ones deleted.:shame2: on me!

I was deleting old ones so fast, not sure which one got me.

Is there anything going wrong with your PC at the moment? Any symptoms we might try to fix, or is everything running well?

It's screwed. I have a ghost/image restore that will fix this. Was looking for hope, I could unscrew this OOPS! in 5 mins.
The full restore will take 35 mins. Then an one hour to update etc.. No biggie, Thanks @niemiro.:thumbsup2:

Ah well. These things happen. At least you have an image - better than reinstalling from scratch :)

FWIW, I've messed a few of my own computers up too in my time :p

See you around!

Just curious - did you try running Windows System Restore?

Nope, would not be there to start. On some LT's I turn off almost all error checking, restore, recovery. As have images. The CPU overhead it not required for useless services. Lean, bear and all extreme.:smile9:

if you have the .reg file you can modify it and remove everything you added... (add a - to the start)

How to add, modify, or delete registry subkeys and values by using a .reg file

Not sure if it is relevant but thought I would share as it might lead you somewhere.

:grin1:

YEP! it did, I could of just gone to a 4-6 month old ghost image and copy out the older reg. file. Which I just finished re-imaging this LT from now. Which was pretty current btw.
Gee. I was so focused on what was on the nas at that time.

And just replaced the whole reg from it. Or first use say, WinDiff (or other reg. comparing utility) to compare both reg files, to track down the changes, now that I'm focused.
As I did not know which did install from my screwup, Or manual replace would of been EZ., I think. as I could read what was done.
I was deleting so fast old way out date reg files etc. Maybe I got hit by two or three? BTW? Can you some double click three or four reg. files in a group to update, as I would think it would just process one at a time unseen
:confused2:

What are your thought on if I just replaced it. As some updated may have been auto installed ie MS, or others programs.

Learned now ...:thud::shame2: on me! Somewhat :embarrasment5:
