Even if cyclists do make drivers more inefficient, it would be more than offset by the reduction in pollution from having one less car over the same distance.

At least around where I live, most towns/cities have designated bike lanes both for the safety of the cyclists and so they will not inhibit traffic.

Indiana Mar 5, 2013 #9 It is indeed a mystery to me how the GOP (the party of Lincoln), who always stood for smaller government and less taxes seem now, to want to tax bicycles and intrude into the personal affairs of a husband and wife. And of course it doesn't stop there..... but I will, lest this turn into a political rant without any possibility of a peaceful ending.
