Some people are still sure Windows 8 is going to be the cat’s meow. I’m sure Windows 8 and its Metro interface will be more like a cat’s yowl of pain. The more I look at Metro, the more I’m sure that Microsoft’s new desktop will flop as badly as the Facebook IPO.

It’s not just me. Business analysts, who could care less about technology but care a lot about what customers think, are saying things like “Windows 8 will prove to be a disappointment.”

You'd think the author could come up with a better #1 suggestion than sticking with Windows XP.

Could have been better too if he recommended Windows 7

XP is stable, but after Vista came out, being so similar to Windows 7 without seeing behind the curtains, people have the notion that they are close to one and the same, which is not true. Vista was not as bad as it's portrayed, but Windows 7 is definitely better than XP.

That's about all I can do, I can't provide any code to others. But I can let people know that I have access. That's all Microsoft will allow me to do...
