Mine would be SubLimeText :thumbsup2:

SublimeText3 beta is out for licensed users. It's much faster than version 2 and comes with a ton more features.

I like my Notepad++ as a code editor. Works very well for HTML/CSS/JS which is what I do most of.

I've not heard of SublimeText before, so will have to check that out

I'm a diehard fan of Notepad (not the ++). It's where I first learned to program, and I stand by it. If the collapse features in Notepad++ were a little cleaner, I may reconsider, but for now, keep it simple.

My only complaint about Notepad is the color scheme. I have a sensitivity to light *hisses at the brightness*, but I may have to check out that SubLimeText, just for the darker scheme.

There's about at least 100 themes available for SublimeText and you can even create your own to your own liking. It is the ultimate fully customizable editor in this way.

Notepad remains #1 here & has not been replaced.

I use Textpad primarily for its feature to carve blocks out of any area + sorting 3 levels deep.

I use Notepad2 for general editing. Might try Notepad++, I just got recommended the version I use a while ago. For actual programming, I try and use Visual Studio 2012 as much as possible. Don't really do enough in PHP/other to decide on a dedicated editor for it. The built in Python editor is pretty good for basic stuff.

I've tried Sublime text, got v2 installed. I suppose I don't really use any general editor enough for it to appeal to me. Most of the coding I ever do is either badly written C++ programs, or modifying existing code.

In Windows I like EditPad best although I often use Notepad too.

On the Mac, I like Text Wrangler and a few others.

In Linux, I prefer things like GEdit, Kate, and others.

TBH, I just use notepad. Very occasionally notepad++ (for PHP only). And Visual Studio for the rest (it supports all of the languages I ever use).
