Typ MSCONFIG in the search field and click OK. Open the tab Boot. Put a checkmark at Safe boot and select the option Minimal. (To start Windows in Normal mode again, remove this checkmark.) Click OK, next click Restart. Windows will now start in Safe mode. This may take a bit longer as usual.

Click to expand... Not sure if the issue remains. Have you been able to diagnose the problem? Click to expand... There is a problem with a folder that we cannot remove for some reason. Probably because the integrity flag is set on that folder which is highly unusual on an NTFS system. ChkDsk reports no problem so that is a bit weird also. I'll need to dig in further.

D drencrom Well-known member Joined May 10, 2017 Posts 95 Jan 25, 2021 #68 Thanks. When I go to the C_G18030.DLL folder on my computer I see that it is there but it is empty. Do you think trying to install the 3 most recent Windows updates would be of any help?
