Hey, if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS!
There haven't been many of those 1,000 where I haven't learnt something new, so thank you.
Your knowledge never ceases to amaze me.
Really, I do appreciate comments like this, but keep it up and my head won't fit through the door!
I don't consider myself anything special. I just come at computer hardware problems as a trained and certified electronics technician as opposed to most forum helpers who tend to be advanced computer enthusiasts, advanced computer users, software developers, or even CompSci majors who approach these same problems from their own perspectives.
But note for nearly 3 decades, in many locations around the globe, I was surrounded by dozens of other highly trained and certified electronics technicians doing the exact same thing as me, day in and day out. So there is nothing special about my knowledge. I just have a different approach to troubleshooting electronics from most forum helpers and I've just been at it for long enough to have quite a few stories to tell (at least until the memories fade from this tired grey matter and Bing Google are no longer my friends).
Any way, what was I saying? Oh yeah. Thanks again - it really has been my pleasure.
