Temperatures began plummeting during the latest snow storm (blizzard-like) that dumped 7" on us early this morning. White-out conditions persisted for much of the early morning hours due to extremely high winds.

Current temperature = 3°F/ -16°C

Wind chill factor is much lower with wind gusts up to 33 mph.

How cold is it where you are?

More snow on the way along with low single digit temperatures (night) all week (highs in the teens).

Expecting 3-5" more snow starting in a few hours.

Official Winter only has about 5 weeks left (I hope)!

3-5 due here also tonight though being south of you the temp are projected to be a tad warmer in the 12f range..........

I thought Tom replied then... I was just thinking "What?! More snow?!"
Better there than here :grin1:

Overnight -9F with 40-50 gusts. With wind chill -35F Oh and yes it is snowing. Not Boston by any means but, 6 weeks till spring

We got about 9" of new white powder.

Temp currently 21°F; on its way down to 10°F tonight -- which is expected to be the "warmest" night of the week! At or below zero °F forecasted for Thursday & Friday.

Bet that was a relief! I think you need to move a few hundred miles further South, I never actually saw snow this year :p Apparently we got a little dusting one night but I had a killer hangover and spent the morning in bed so never ended up seeing it.

It's just below freezing here (-0.5C, 31F).

We had several light dustings here at Bath actually. But I was revising for my exams and never managed to get a chance to go outside. Things were in a bit of panic mode actually! They went well in the end (I hope - I haven't seen my marks yet), but I hadn't really figured out my revision techniques for university vs A-Level and it felt more like cramming than revision at the end. Still, I learned an awful lot from the process and have been able to work much shorter, more efficient, hours this term so far (the work hasn't really hit yet though).

But then, after my exams, we got a complete blanket during my week off at home. Best time to have it as there was plenty of free time to build a snowman and go sledging :smile9:

That last picture is hysterical, Richard. The snowman is priceless!

Freezing here in NJ - current temp = 1°F/ -17°C with high winds.

It is a balmy 8°F/ -13°C here right now!

At least we have super-clear skies and very little wind.

Don't worry that's about to change..................first the snow, then the warmer temps and rain, then of course the temps will plummet back down to ensue a good even coating of ice.
