On both my main PC and my notebook, after upgrading to W10, Winpatrol Plus would not start when W10 started, and refused to run when attempting to start the executable manually. With both computers, a popup occurred with the error message for WinPatrol.exe stating, "A referral was returned from the server".
These computers are not tied to any domain so I don't what server that may be. Google suggests this is a UAC problem but the notebook was set to the defaults and on this PC it is off (never notify).
Downloading and reinstalling the latest version of WPP seems to have corrected the problem but I am still concerned about W10 support. The installation automatically picked up my registration information but the activation form field it put my registration code was titled "Country". And after re-installing WPP I told it to check for updates. It did and verified I had the latest, but scrolling down on that page it said,
That said, Belarc Advisor reports I am still using "Windows 8.1 Professional (x64) (build 9600)" too. Speccy, however, correctly reports "Windows 10 Pro 64-bit".
I have reported my experiences to WinPatrol support.

WinPatrol reports you are using Windows 8.1
This is based on its internal version of
6.3.9600.
