I have deleted the update in the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution Folder. Have used the Microsoft Fixit Utility with no luck.
Cannot find a way to attach the CBS.zip file as the paper clip icon in the topic toolbar will not open or do anything for me.
Please advise. Thanks

Thanks a lot for those logfiles.

Right, first, download, and save to your Desktop the installer for IE9: Download Internet Explorer 9 - Microsoft Windows
Rename it to IE9Update (file extension: .exe)

Then uninstall your current version of IE9: How do I install or uninstall Internet Explorer 9?

Restart your computer.

Start an Elevated Command Prompt: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...-prompt-window-windows-windows-vista-7-a.html

Type in, pressing enter after each line:

cd %userprofile%\Desktop
IE9Update.exe /update-no

Allow the installation to complete. Restart your computer when done.

Re-run Windows Update and install all new IE9 updates. Fingers crossed it should go through this time.

There is no entry in order to uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 9 in Control Panel.
I followed the instructions here: How do I install or uninstall Internet Explorer 9?

Anyway, found it now! KB2817183

Anyway, please uninstall that update: Remove an update

Do you find it? If you don't, we can use a more powerful method to hopefully uninstall it.

Then please go back and open the Elevated Command Prompt: %userprofile%\Desktop\IE9Update.exe /update-no
if you manage to uninstall it.
