Hello all,
Found this forum not too long ago and it looks like that a solution could be found for something that has had me going crazy for awhile now. I have a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit machine that currently has 9 updates that continually fail with the 800736B3 error code. Some updates will install fine with each round of new updates, but I have these 9 updates that continually fail (KB numbers listed:)
2871997
2922229
2847077
2893294
2592687
2872339
2758857
2882822
2726535
This machine still has Internet Explorer 8 on it, and all attempts at getting IE10 or above updated on it have failed as well.
I have run the System File Checker (no problems found) and ran the System Update Readiness tool. It did find a missing deployment key that it could not fix that you can see in the log in the CBS folder I will attach.
NOTE: I tried attaching the zip file of the CBS folder, but the file from this machine was over 20 meg zipped, and I couldn't get it to upload. I deleted the CbsPersist cab files to get the filesize down and it finally attached. If you need those files, I can try to see if I can get them to attach.
I appreciate any help you can provide!
Thanks again.
