bruce1270 Moderator, Windows Update Analyst, Security Analyst Staff member Joined Nov 22, 2017 Posts 2,458 Jun 16, 2021 #73 Hi I've made a slight change to the files so lets try this again. Please do the following. step1 - SFCFix Script Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it. Save any open documents and close all open windows. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it. SFCFix will now process the script. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put </> tags around the log to break up the text. Step 2 - Remove Update Manually 1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt 2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator 3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, and press Enter wusa /uninstall /KB:4586863 4. Let me know if it says it was successful or if there are any errors. I attempted to remove the KB4586863 update using the command prompt. A 'Windows Update Standalone Installer' window asked me if I was sure I wanted to uninstall KB4586863 update. I clicked Yes. Another 'Windows Update Standalone Installer' window then indicated an error:0x800703f8. Both the command prompt window and Windows Update Standalone Installer error window are captured in the attached screenshot. The last one I can find by searching is on my desktop. It was created on June 11 after an SFC fix. Is that the correct folder, or is there another I should send?
