Found this forum and saw that others are getting help with, what seems to be, a difficult and sad error. Windows Update 800B0100

Hello, and welcome to Sysnative!

Let's try to turn this thread from a happy one to a sad one!

SURT has actually done almost all of the work for us. Usually it replaces a couple of corrupt files, and we replace the rest. Here, it's managed to repair all of them which saves me one step, and actually allows me to move straight onto the end game.

So, please re-try Windows Update one more time, and if it still doesn't work, note down which updates & which error codes (max of 5 - you don't need to write about hundreds of different error codes/update numbers). From that I will assess how best to proceed.

It sure worked, strange because I already did try to run the updates a couple of times after I had run the WU tool. Well it seems to be working again, so SP1 is now installed.. I only have a few hundred more updates to run, hopefully they will work. Otherwise I'll try the WU tool again and then perhaps come back here if it doesn't work ;)

Not a problem! So glad to have been of (a little) assistance. Just sometimes a little bit of luck and trying several times is all that's required :p

Anyway, if you do have another problem, just come back here, but fingers crossed you don't!
