[SOLVED] Windows Update Error 800070490 From last 1 week for KB3003743 & KB2992611

Hi, All

From last 1 week i am continuously failed to install following update for my Windows 7 32 bit

all other updates from MS office , windows defender and some update for sys are installing in 1 shot

ONLY THIS TWO GIVING ME HARD TIME RIGHT NOW

SO far Methods to fix problem tried

Manual update download & Install FAIL

try to install in clean boot ,safe mode FAIL

MS Update troubleshooter 10x times but cant solve problem FAIL

also tried manual and auto windows catalog reset FAIL


also tried Update readiness tool FAIL

Using kaspersky internet security from last 20 days

Also tried malware bytes it did show some PUP and MALWARE on chrome caches removed

SFCfix shows o update available and

sfc /scannow also cant find any mismatch

so update readiness tool

i also tried to uninstall and re install that two IMP update on my WINDOWS 7 64 bit on desktop

it get installed after uninstalling rebooting and again installing via windows update and rebooting

possible and i want avoid solution is RE INSTALL OR REPAIR INSTALL

So any Help will appreciated

also tried to install with disabling kaspersky self protect and security and force close avp.exe still same error

1. Click on the Start
Start%20Orb.jpg
button and click on Control Panel
2. Click on the Programs group.
3. Click the link Turn Windows features on or off
4. Leave that screen open while we perform the next steps. Basically this loaded your components hive for us.
5. Download FRST to your desktop.
6. Open FRST.exe and then type or preferably copy/paste KB2992611;3003743 into the Search box and then click on the Search Registry button.
7. When the search completes a notepad window will open. Please post the contents of this into your next post.
8. You may now close the Turn Windows features on or off screen.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
2. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
4. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

i tried manual SYS restore point and failed
so checked sys vol info folder's properties everything is look ok but that lock icon on that folder is showing something i don't know what

Ok i tried every solution that i found internet to solve problem

OK FINALLY RESTORE POINT IS WORKING

I MANAGE TO DELETE SYSTEM VOLUME FOLDER AND IT WORKED

Now Trying FIX again

there is 10 key still remaining should try to run fix again ? with that 10 key's location ?CAN I PM YOU MY TEAMVIEWER ACCESS for fast help?

Please also do the following.

Step#1 - Search Registry
1. Click on the Start
Start%20Orb.jpg
button and click on Control Panel
2. Click on the Programs group.
3. Click the link Turn Windows features on or off
4. Leave that screen open while we perform the next steps. Basically this loaded your components hive for us.
5. Download FRST to your desktop. Since you already have it downloaded you don't have to re-download.
6. Open FRST.exe and then type or preferably copy/paste KB3023562 into the Search box and then click on the Search Registry button.
7. When the search completes a notepad window will open. Please post the contents of this into your next post.
8. You may now close the Turn Windows features on or off screen.

i tried to install update
KB2992611 from your giving link and did successfully installed 1 time

so i restarted and tried to check u[date again and it again give me to update

so i selected only
KB2992611 and tried and it again failed with same error

tried to solve problem with MS auto troubleshooter but fails

i downloaded update from this site

Microsoft Update Catalog

and it give me this file name

X86-all-windows6.1-kb2992611-x86_814892fe3b23030fa2c44891fdb5f24574b0aa17.msu

Windows6.1-KB2992611-x86.msu

i checked hashes of both files and it is same

so i am wondering why it get installed 1 time ? and now failing

so that is clear something is really wrong with system OS

attaching new CBS and win update log as well as that FRT search result

    button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

    Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please zip and attach this to your next post.
