[SOLVED] Windows 8.1, windows update don't find any updates

Hi,

I have a problem with Windows Update.

Initially, windows update wasn't working because it was failing with installation of updates (error code was 8007371B).

I tried many solution, but none of them worked.

Here is an example of what I tried:

1) I tried to run the default 'Problems resolution tool' for windows update. Every time I run the tool, it founds errors and he tells me the errors are fixed, but windows update still doesn't work.

2) I tried the command sfc scannow and dism [...] RestoreHealth, both finish with "clean" output, but windows update still doesn't work

3) at the end, I did a 'deep' factory reset of my pc (it tooks some hours). After the reset, all of my files and folders were deleted and all the default apps were installed again.

Now I'm trying to run windows update to check for updates, but it doesn't find any update. When I try to check for update, it seems to go forever in a neverending loop (I tried to wait many hours without success).

In this new situation, I tried again both the previous solution 1) and 2), but still windows update cannot find any update.

I don't really know what should I do now ... help me, please

Hello,

I followed all the steps indicated in the "Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions":

Step 2 (sfc /scannow)
Step 3 (Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth)
Step 4 (downloaded and run SFCFix)
Step 4.5 I tried to run Windows Update to see if the problem was solved. Unfortunately, problem is still there
Step 5 Zipped CBS logs folder

I uploaded the CBS logs folder on wetransfer, here is the link:

Update: Windows Update has finished!!!!

He found 162 important updates and 12 optional updates (it took almost 35 hours !!!!)

Now I'll start the updates. Let's hope again
