June 1, I had to refresh back to Windows 8 and then update again to Windows 8.1. Now Windows will not update at all and gives me the error code 8024402F. I have contacted Microsoft and they told me I have corrupt files. I used the SFCFix and now it says "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." But I still can't update Windows. I do have the correct service packages installed, and the date they were installed was June 1. I am attaching a jpg of the updates, and the CBS zip. My computer is starting to act-up, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. View attachment CBS.zip

Thank you very much for putting the screenshot and logfiles into your first post. Saves a lot of time :) However, for your error, I'm going to need another log. Can you please copy to Desktop, zip up and upload C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log. Thank you! Richard

If someone new has corrupted files on their 8.1 please start with this thread first: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...prncacla-inf-corruptions-windows-8-8-1-a.html After the files have been fixed and you are still getting the update error code 8024402F here are the steps: 1. From the Shell start menu type in msconfig 2. Click on the msconfig application 3. When system Configuration window opens click the startup tab 4. Click the blue (link) Open Task Manager 5. Once the Task Manager opens click the service tab 6. Scroll to your Window dll's and right click and click start, make sure you read the information on the dll before you start it up.
