Hi,

the Windows 7 x64 of my father's PC only shows these two updates for month:
KB3061518
KB3042058

But when trying to install them it always fails with error code 80070490.

There have no new updates been installed since then so I am seeking for help here.

This is the SFCFix.txt. The CBS will follow shortly.
Code:
SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.
Start time: 2016-03-26 04:25:15.938
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - amd64
Not using a script file.

I assume this is a different thread than the following one?
https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...t-repair-locdrv-cab-10-missing-manifests.html

I see the following in the logs.
Code:
2016-03-26 17:25:02, Error CBS Failed to resolve package 'Package_117_for_KB3035131~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.1' [HRESULT = 0x80070490 - ERROR_NOT_FOUND]

Please start with the following.

Remove Update Manually
1. Click on the Start
Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, press enter
wusa /uninstall /KB:3035131

4. Let me know if it says it was successful or if there are any errors.

Yeah, this is a different thread. Actually a different person.

Got this account from bugmenot.com because was too lazy to create my own account.
You can block this site if you do not want accounts to be shared.

About this problem:
It says KB3035131 is not installed on the computer.

Thanks for your answer.

Hello AmazingOrnament57 :)

@niemiro: Ok, I registered that account now.

@BrianDrab: Ok, thanks. But it says the update KB3035131 is already installed.

Thanks tja. So I believe this is our intitial issue. Attempting to uninstall it says it's not installed but trying to install it says it's already installed.

Let's gather some more info.
