The 0x8024200D error should in theory not return, it should only occur for a small subset of updates which have already tried and failed to install prior to the repair of the root causes which we've fixed.
In theory this same problem should not return. Whether you develop a completely unrelated and entirely new problem next patch Tuesday, who can say? I guess it depends how lucky you're feeling when you click 'install'
