Running windows 10 pro 64-bit, build 10586.218

I have gone through the following: BEST FIX: Steps to Fix Windows Update Error x8757

I have tried forcing KB3081424 from the stickied topic in the windows 10 subfourm

I am on the insider fast track

I have disabled my firewall (Bullguard)

I have run the Windows Update troubleshooter: Windows Update Troubleshooter - Windows Help -

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Is your issue that you are trying to install KB3081424? If so, isn't that an old Cumulative Update for Windows 10?

No the issue is that windows update isn't working at all, I was stuck on an old build (I forgot which) I have since updated to build 14328 by downloading the ISO, but widows update is still not working

OK. Please do the following.

1. Download the Media Creation Tool for Windows 10 and run it. Even if you have this already downloaded, please re-download it. Click the Download tool now button when you go to this link.
2. Accept the License Terms.
3. Select "Upgrade this PC now" and click Next.
4. Allow this process to complete.

Let me know when done. Even if you have done this before please do again so we are on the current build.
