Yes and no, it is a definitive solution, but only so long as there won't be any update messing with it.
I would recommend a bit of caution when installing Windows updates and check that they don't cause issues by reverting the changes made by the tool you used. If they do even though you have checked, in those situations you might want to use a backup to go back to that was made prior installing the update.
