[SOLVED] Windows 10 update fails (sfc /scannow doesn't work, SFCFix didn't help)
Hello!
My Windows 10 update fails. It tries to download update files, but then returns this error:
Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: (0x80070570)
Update number: KB5009543
I've tried to install updates by downloading the Update Assistant. It downloads and starts to install the update, but fails at the last moment with a message "Windows Update failed"
I've run Update Troubleshooter several times, but it didn't help.
I have also tried going through this guide:
Windows Update - Additional resources - Windows Deployment
Some commands from step 6 return errors saying:
The module "xxxx.dll" failed to load.
Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary on dependent .DLL files.
The specified module could not be found.
Running sfc returns this message:
C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow
Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.
I've run SFCFix, but it also produced some errors. They will be attached to this post together with the CBS log files.
Thank you!

Hi,
Download the
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:
Download the 64 bit version: -
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link
Warning: This script was written specifically for this system. Do not run this script on another system.
Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
Press the Fix button.
If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.
Thank you for your answer!
The tool didn't call for a restart. Here's the log file

Step 2. Restart the computer and run the System File Checker.
Click the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator .
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, and press enter .
Wait for this to finish before you continue
Now copy and paste the following command into it, and press enter .
Code:
copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
This command will create cbs.txt on your Desktop. Zip this file and attach the zipped cbs.txt to your next post.

Hi,
Reboot the system and run the System File Checker again and let me know the result. Please attach also a new copy of the CBS log.
The previous CBS log was in the zip file. I rebooted the system and run SFC again. Here is the new log file

Hi,
Have you been able to perform the last fix? If you encounter any problems, please let me know!
Hello!
Excuse me for not answering for a while.
Everything seems to be working after the last fix. I was able to install updates successfully. SFC also works now and after the scan, it says that no errors were encountered. Thank you so much!

Hi,
No problem! Glad to hear the problem has been resolved.
Follow the instructions below to remove
FRST and all the log files.
Rename the file FRST64.exe to uninstall.exe and run it as Administrator.
This will remove all files and folders created by FRST and the tool itself.
To complete this the system must be restart.
SFCFix and the zip-files can be removed manually...
