S Saltrock23 Active member Joined Apr 5, 2016 Posts 27 Feb 14, 2024 #1 Hi I can't figure out why Windows update fails and then when i try to repair via dism this fails also With and without a specific local source location So far, I have tried manually installing the latest cumulative update. sfc /scannow (Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:WIM:c:\source\sources\install.wim:1 /LimitAccess - using the WIM from the same ISO as the original install Error: 0x800f081f The source files could not be found. Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder. Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?" Click on the Yes button here. Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply. If the file is too large to attach, upload the CBS.zip file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.
