Windows 10 and IE 11 issues

Hello All!
Looking for some help if possible with this work issue. We use an older application that still needs IE 11 browser and not sure when this will change.
I have two users on Windows 10 (64bit) where I did an in-place upgrade from Windows 7. The version reported for IE when I do a help, about is either 11.476.18362.0 and 11.535.18362.0.
Both report an update version of KB4525106 but when I look that up, it's stated for Windows 7? I am trying to figure out how to upgrade them using my WSUS?
I can't seem to find the correct KB for that. My guess is the in-place upgrade left IE 11 as the Windows 7 version? I'm so confused lol

Thank you!
Tony

Hello and thanks. Yes I totally understand that but there is no way for me to change the outside software vendors version just yet and when I launch their app it directs the browser to IE unfortunatly.
Does that KB work with OS 10? It doesn't look like it. IE 11 is still on Windows 10 even with a fresh install.

Does it re-direct to IE 11 even if Edge is the default browser?
Also, you can disable IE 11 in the Windows Add remove features.
Start by hitting the Windows Key + R, when the run dialogue opens, type appwiz.cpl then this screen will open:
windows-features.png

After clicking Turn Windows Features on or off, the below dialogue will open:

windows-features-2.png

Remove the check mark beside Internet Explorer 11 hit OK.
If you need it back, simply put the check mark back.

Hi and yes I've tried that as well. I removed IE and our app doesn't redirect to Edge. I did however fix it by removing IE and re-installing it. Seems to have stopped the hangs for now.
I only have to last till spring and then their application will be able to use Chrome once I upgrade the application.

Thank for the help!
