Hi, I have a problem. I did a system restore and now the computer restarts when it enters "Windows start" and before forming the logo it restarts. It also does not start in any safe mode because it is restarted before it starts. When using the windows 7 installation disc in the option to repair equipment. It does not repair the boot automatically. And it shows this message in details:

Problem event name: StartupRepairOffline
Signature of the problem 01: 6.1.7600.16385
Signature of the problem 02: 6.1.7600.16385
Signature of problem 03: Unknown
Signature of the problem 04: 21199859
Signature of the problem 05: ExternalMedia
Signature of problem 06: 3
Signature of problem 07: NoBootFailure
Operating system version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

And in more details this appears:

Repair action: integrity check and repair of system files

Main cause found:
-------------------------------------------
The program may not be restarted by an installed or recently updated driver
Result: Error. Error code: 0x490

Please I need a solution other than to re-install windows, thanks.

This seems to indicate that there is a problem with the Windows 7 DVD.

Do you have a Recovery partition on your hard drive?

If so, boot into it and re-run Windows System Restore.

Regards. . .

Hello jcgriff2 thanks for your help! The Windows 7 DVD is a bootable USB. Yes, the HD has a recovery partition, but it found a restore point that was the one I chose before, it is the cause of not starting windows and restarting when displaying the W7 logo.

There are no other restore points?

Is there a selection bottom-left of restore screen to show older restore points?
