Copy the attached fixlist.txt file to your USB drive that has FRST64.exe on it. 2. Plug in the USB drive into your sick computer. 3. In the command window type the word notepad and press Enter. 4. Notepad opens. Under the File menu select Open. 5. Select "Computer" and find out what your USB drive letter is and then close notepad. 6. In the command window type e:\frst (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64) and press Enter Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your USB drive that you identified in step#5. 7. The tool will start to run. 8. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer. 9. Press Fix button. 10. It will make a log (fixlog.txt) on the USB drive. I got a couple of restarts and then a blue screen saying it needs to be repaired. enter to try again f8 for startup options and esc for uefi all the normal start up options appear to be there. I took number 6 safe mode with command prompt. A message came up that could not start safe mode until windows has been installed. pressed ok and back to the blue screen again

I don't think one of the F8 options was start-up repair, that may be on the DART64 disk or even the windows install disk. I will await your instructions.

For now windows update I will set at never check for updates so I can do them , I set the date and time correctly. I will run sfc / scannow
