[SOLVED] [Win8.1 x64] Embedded Lockdown Manager Corrupt

I used sfcfix and it reports that some ELM components are corrupt. DISM was run but some files could not be downloaded.

Unfortunately, I am unable to upload cbs.zip successfully. I was able to upload smaller files like cbs.log, though. I'll keep trying. Otherwise, may I try to attach the files in the cbs directory individually or use a file-sharing site to upload cbs.zip?

Thank you for any help on this matter.

Re: [Win8.1 64x] Embedded Lockdown Manager Corrupt

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. Are you still in need of assistance?

Re: [Win8.1 64x] Embedded Lockdown Manager Corrupt

Yes, please. I re-ran sfcfix and encountered the same problems. Prior to that, I tried the ff. options but they did not fix the problem:

Option 1:

dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow

Option 2:

net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv
net stop bits
net start bits
net stop cryptsvccd
%systemroot%\system32
ren catroot2 catroot2old
net start cryptsvc
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Or
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:Z:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess

Option 3:

mkdir d:\mount
dism /mount-Image /ImageFile:Z:\sources\install.wim /index:1 /mountdir:D:\mount\ /readonly
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth /Source:D:\mount\windows /LimitAccess

Option 4:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
SFC /SCANNOW
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
SFC /SCANNOW
Restart your computer.

I also used the media creation tool to get the latest copy of Win 8.1 and tried to install .NET Framework 3.5. The only thing I have not tried is refresh the system because that that will mean reinstalling various apps.

Finally, I'm still unable to attach cbs.zip. The browser indicates that it sent a request to www.sysnative.com.

Re: [Win8.1 64x] Embedded Lockdown Manager Corrupt

Please start with the following.

Step#1 - SFCFix Script
Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Re: [Win8.1 64x] Embedded Lockdown Manager Corrupt

I read the sfcfix.txt and interpreted it as a successful fix, so I ran sfc /scannow and it now reports that there are no integrity violations.

Thank you for your support!
