Hi All,

I have started to encounter this problem since yesterday. Every time I click 'Hibernate' from the Win+X menu, the OS shuts down instead.
I have attached a part of the administrative event log. Please inform me if anything else is needed.
No minidump files were generated.

Please help me. Thanks.

Note sure I can help but please provide some information about this computer. At this point, we don't even know if a notebook or PC and that matters because Hibernate is typically for notebooks, not PCs.

Thanks for the help.

This problem was happening on my Lenovo Y410p laptop. Here's the configuration:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4700MQ @2.40GHz
Memory: 2 x 8GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 750M (2GB)
Hard Drives: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (Boot Drive) + 1000 GB, 5400 RPM, SATA-II HDD
Display: 1600x900 Internal Display

I have tried the methods and updated quite a few drivers but the problem persisted.

Out of frustration and impatience, I have formatted the partition and installed Windows 10 which is running without any problem at the moment.

That's generally a last resort option for many reasons but here, that means we don't know the cause to prevent recurrence.

I hope it continues to work. Thanks for the followup.
