Thank you for answering, softwaremaniac
Sorry about the delay, been busy with a big floor-ball tounament this weekend.
The SURT run fixed about half the problems of missing files. It also lead to a demand for more files, some from the same KBs as before, some from different ones, for a total 0f 48 KBs.
So I extracted those as well, and ran SURT again, quite a time consuming job to produce a convenient joblist, DL the KBs and extract/copy files . Lots more problems were fixed this time, now there are files missing from only 7 KBs. And I already have all of those downloaded, so the job should be easier this time.
One problem is KB 2952664. Missing files :

servicing\packages\Package_1_for_KB2952664~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.9.8.mum
....and the .cat counterparts, of course.
I'm guessing these are from different versions of KB2952664 ? As mentioned in my first post, this file is already installed, but WindowsUpdate wants to install it again. I'm thinking it might be better to uninstall the existing version...but afraid that would create more problems than it solves ?
CheckSUR3.log is attached.
