Win7 x64 Enterprise multiple updates failed

Hello,
Wondering if anyone can give me a hand in solving my windows update problem. I'm using Win7 Enterprise x64 and have multiple failed updates in the queue.
I ran the windows update readiness tool Windows6.1-KB947821-v28-x64, and here is the summary:

Hello, and welcome to Sysnative :)

Please extract the contents of Packs.zip into C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests, re-run the System Update Readiness Tool, and post a new CheckSUR.log if the problem is not resolved.

Thanks niemiro,
your manifest files did help with the readiness tool but unfortunately I'm still having issues with updates.

I downloaded a single patch file from MS, but it failed, here is the error in the event viewer:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8000ffff: Security Update for Windows (KB2839894).

Also, I noticed in the C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log, there are a whole bunch of these errors, not sure if they mean anything:

Failed to internally open package. [HRESULT = 0x800f0805 - CBS_E_INVALID_PACKAGE]

The summary for the CheckSUR.log shows the errors are fixed.

which I missed the first time around, is the source of your continued problem. Unfortunately, I can't fix those errors without knowing what they are, and the summary is inadequate for that task.

Export CBS folder

Click the Start button

then click Computer.
Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
Find and double click on the Logs folder.
Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created. Please upload it here.

Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.

Thank you for understanding!

Your SFCFix log indicates that all of the files were successfully repaired which is great, but we need to run SFC to finish the job:

SFC Scan

Click on the Start

button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Can you run the System Update Readiness Tool again please? Post the log when complete:

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log

Here are the output of the sfcscan, looks like there are still corrupt files:

This is the fourth thread that SFC has gone crazy and is reporting a lot (432) of files are corrupt - the others have ~20,000, ~10,000 and ~2,000 files. In one of the threads, I proved SFC to be wrong so I'd like to do the same here, just to be sure :)

You've read that perfectly! There's no real pattern to the corruption here - if you're interested, here's a list of all of the files on your computer that are corrupt:

It really is corrupt. Due to the extent of the corruption, the only reasonable way to fix this is to perform a repair install: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...-install-windows-windows-7-windows-vista.html

I'm sorry it's come to this but there's simply too many files to repair manually!

awww, that's ok :) Thank you for looking into it and spending the time to troubleshoot my problem. Since I didn't install this machine myself, I don't really have the original disk or image of win7ent. Luckly I do have an account on dreamspark, I'll hop on there now and see if I can get a copy of that DVD.
