You all are now sucked into my computer misery! Okay, not that bad. I'm not computer or tech junky, just a recreational user. But I don't do Pinterest! Sorry to disappoint on that. Anyways, I had Geeksquad, like most probably have one time or another, and never used it. The one time I needed it was for my TV, and when I called, they said I had coverage for computers, phones, stereo, but no TV. How convenient. But it would only be $600 to repair it. Hmm, $600 to repair a $500 TV. So, I fixed it myself, at $70 for the part, and here I am, trying to fix my Windows 8.1 myself.
I don't come on forums a lot, but do use them. The people in the trenches are the knowledgeable ones. I tried using Microsoft support, and were about as helpful as having mudflaps on a turtle. Actually they tried a little, but wanted to sell me a PC tune up and other thing for $149. But thanks to Google, here I am!
Any help I can get is greatly appreciated. Sorry I can't offer a whole lot in return. Running the SFC Scannow was new territory for me.

Welcome to Sysnative! Don't worry, we won't charge you $149 to hopefully fix your problem.

I have a corrupt file in Windows 8.1. I tried using Microsoft help, and they were pretty limited to what they could do. I googled the issue, and found some things to try, which I did. I ran the sfc scannow, and it repaired some of the corrupt files, however not all of them. Just my luck. It seems to be, as best as I can tell, an AMD 64 file, which is the same one everybody else is having trouble with.
These are the results:

SFCFix version 2.3.0.0 by niemiro.
