The original browser poll was 12 years old so it seemed time for a new poll.

The forum software limits poll choices to 10. As a result, IceCat, Maxthon, Puffin, Tenta, Tor and Waterfox were left out of the choices. Feel free to indicate in the comments if one of those is your primary browser of choice.

Comments are also welcome about why a particular browser is (or isn't) your preference.

I use Firefox.
Can someone include the result of the old poll so we can compare the results.

Brave is my primary browser, I use Pale Moon for forums since I prefer how they're is rendered with their engine. I use Chrome for work only since it's usually the most W3C standards compliant.

Pale Moon was my primary browser until unmaintained legacy Firefox extensions that supported FF directly were dropped in the update to Version 29.2.0. Although I still have it installed, I've switched my primary browser to Edge (DEV), which I had been also. With the ability to add Chrome extensions, so far it has been working fine and I haven't missed Pale Moon too much.

I still miss IE greatly. :(

I use Vivaldi as my default. It was the best alternative to the original Opera, and has developed into a great customizable browser. I also have Edge of course, Opera, Pale Moon, and Cent browser (closest to Vivaldi). I don't use Chrome or Firefox

A Guy

I used Palemoon for years but dropped it when he moved to his own proprietary addon/extension plan. I'm now back to using Firefox ESR almost full time.

Same here. :)

Slightly off topic but I just tried to call up IE and it opened for a second, then closed and Edge opened. So it looks like MS is forcing W10 users off IE too. Note that IE InPrivate mode still works.

Edit add: I take it back. Even in InPrivate mode, if you enter an address, it calls up Edge.

Strange. I can use my IE normally. No switching to Edge.

Not sure why here but does this on 2 systems.

There is a possibility an option in Edge to force IE to switch in Edge.

Go to Settings > Default browser > Internet Explorer compatibility. Check the first option. Perhaps it is set to Always.
