Need a scratch pad? A quick place to copy/paste text, images, etc? Its easy. Just open a new tab, paste the following in the address bar: data:text/html, <html contenteditable> and press Enter.

Voila! You can save the file as an HTML page or bookmark it for quick access. This works in Firefox, Pale Moon, Opera and Chrome (not IE).

That's handy, thanks!

You can also create a new bookmark, set the location to data:text/html,%20<html%20contenteditable> and save it to your toolbar menu, for quick access.

NoScript users will get an advisory/warning:

Code:
javascript: and data: URIs typed or pasted in the address bar are disabled to prevent social engineering attacks.
Developers can enable them for testing purposes by toggling the "noscript.allowURLBarJS" preference.
