Hi,
Sorry, but my native language is Brazilian Portuguese.

So, I'm trying to update a Sony Vaio, purchased in the USA, 8.1 to windows 10 and, in several attempts, it keeps giving error 0x8007042B - 0x2000D. This error code is what appears as a result on the screen, in the non-update.
Command SFC and Dism using the original Windows 8.1 ISO as mount, success in both.
From what I read, in the link below, the person followed the same procedures and conditions adopted, also without achieving positive results, the difference refers to the fact that in that situation it is an upgrade from windows 10 to windows 10:
[SOLVED] - Windows 10 Upgrade Fails
:In the Setup Diag log the file that seems to be responsible is AppxUpgradeMigrationPlugin.dll
Attachment: logs
. FRST
. Addition
. setupact
. setuperr
. setupdiagresults
. Componentscanner.
Remembering that the windows update cache was cleaned, in short, everything I searched on the web.
Any questions, I am available for further information.
Thank you very much in advance

Hello,

Do you use Windows and / or Office legitimately on this machine ?
It is against the rules to help people with an illegal operating system or other illegally used programs.
Hacktools can make your system slower and also less secure.

Hi PeterJ

In reality, this equipment does not belong to me, I was accessing it remotely, as the owner is from a city, different from mine, in another state, approximately 275 km away. As far as I know, Windows is original, as reported above, acquired within the United States by his son. Regarding Office, I can try to request authorization to uninstall it.
This equipment is used for any queries on the internet, banking access and doing income tax, also because it has low processing capacity.
As a last resort, I see that a clean installation should be carried out, which was one of the options presented, taking advantage of the Microsoft license, which, I imagine, is the best solution, as well as replacing the HD with an SSD and increasing the installed memory.
Certainly, rules, after discussed, defined, must be complied with,
Thanks for your feedback

Okay. If the Windows license is valid we can continue.

There are remnants of various security programs on this machine which we will remove to start with.

  2. Right-click on FRST64.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  3. Press the Fix button.
  4. The tool will now process fixlist.txt.
  5. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Attach the logfile Fixlog.txt to your next reply.

Oi PeterJ

OK. Se a licença do Windows for válida, podemos continuar.

Existem restos de vários programas de segurança nesta máquina que iremos remover para começar.

There is a doubt, SURT is intended for windows vista, Windows 7, server, in the case pictured here windows is 8.1

I'm sorry, I ended up watching only now your message about your translated message. I use a browser that automatically translates your message.

No problem. Please provide the requested log file.

It is possible to send (SURT) a specific link for said equipment, as the link previously sent, at least to me, is not working

The link does work but you may have to confirm the download.
Which browser do you use ?
Try using another browser.
If you get an error message, please provide a screenshot of that.

I was able to apply the SURT software - error message = the update cannot be applied to your computer. Consequently, there will be no checkSUR.log. The only file dated 02.27.23 is the CBS file, which I am attaching.

It looks like you attached the same file as in message #5.
Please follow the instructions in message #15 and its attachment.

The log looks normal.
Try the upgrade again and report the result.
If it fails copy the file c:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log to your desktop. Zip the copied file and attach the zipped cbs.log to your next reply.
