Most frequently, I see Conduit added with software downloaded from places like Download.com. Best practice is to go to the vendor site and carefully read each part of the install process for pre-checked options. Conduit SearchProtect can safely be removed with AdwCleaner or the Junkware Removal Tool. Although the best way is both of those tools followed by Malwarebytes. Then again, sometimes those steps are not enough. Anyone having problems with undesirable toolbars, browser hijacks and would like help, follow the log-posting instructions here.
