TV-based botnets? DDoS attacks on your fridge? More plausible than you think

This is really only a drop in the bucket when you look at all the possible things connected to a home network.

For instance: phone, lights, garage door....

These 3 alone if found to be easily DDOS'ed would spike the number of home break-ins/invasions...

Cyber security today is more prevalent than ever.

I knew there was a reason I don't have the TV and the Blue-Ray hooked to the network, up til now I thought is was just that the router was moved upstairs to replace the one that failed and the replacement was still in the box it came in from Amazon ...........................................

I have old technology... only my computer, cellphone and xbox are connected to the network.... The TV receiver is connected downstairs but not the TV.

Would be interesting to have an expert come in and expose all the vulnerabilities...
