The Smarter Sex? Women's Average IQ Overtakes Men's

Who's smarter: men or women? Judging by IQ scores alone, the answer used to be men. In fact, the gap between men's and women's performance on IQ tests has long ignited questions about the test's fairness. But now, women appear to be beating men at their own game: For the first time in history, they score higher on IQ tests.

The new finding comes from James Flynn, a New Zealand-based intelligence researcher who has tracked worldwide fluctuations in IQ (or "intelligence quotient") scores for decades. Flynn said women's IQs have lagged behind men's for about a century, at times by as many as five points. But they have now closed the gap in all the countries that Flynn analyzed, and have even gained the edge in this battle of wits.

This comes as no particular surprise to me. My wife has been telling this to me for years.
I believe though that I may well hide any documentation from her as she doesn't seem to need any help bolstering her argument.

That's why we don't own encyclopedia's, my wife knows everything......nah only kidding. To be honest we all probably thought that we knew everything when we were teenagers.

Actually guys are so used to being told what to do by women they choose a female voice for their GPS. Now that is wrong, women and directions.
My wife is from Sydney and I am from Melbourne. When I first came to Sydney we went to the CBD and she couldn't navigate us out of the Sydney CBD for 3 hours. I had to ring her brother for help.

On average perhaps women are smarter but that is only because there are some very stupid men most of which think with their....

Another statistic to be disproved in a year.... oh well...

Men are typically more efficient and practical with their thought process, and in my opinion, any kind of test score or "school smarts" does not compare to real world smarts. You can get all the good grader's in school male or female, but yet we still burn fossil fuels (even though we have better methods), we start nuclear wars, we run our world by greed, we can't elect a good president if our life depended on it because the majority of people out there really don't have a clue about politics anyways, and a bunch of other things as well which would agree with my opinion being stated here.

Not saying men are better than women, but I have a hard time believing that women are any better than men, speaking in general. We're all people. Women fought for rights back in the day to be equal, and now we have legal documents out there and other protests and such where they want more... Who decides or decided that when a divorce happens the woman gets half of all the man's stuff? (Not like I would want half of the woman's stuff, I don't wear 50 pairs of shoes in a day anyways), but it shouldn't be that way.

That's my side of the story here, I have no problem with equality, but there is a line of greed here from the female side of things that I see everyday. Some men are probably the same, but for me, because i'm fairly well laid back, that's just the way I think all men are like, whether that's arrogance or not.

Equality is a nice word in an ideal world, but in the real world, you sure as heck don't see it. :thumbsup2:

2. I am sorry for those men that cannot accept:- A woman knows what a man wants, only a fool of a man would believe he knows what a woman wants.

A woman assumes they always know what a man wants, they don't know all the time though, as not all men are only there for the sex. Other than that assumption which woman also make, I couldn't possibly imagine that women are fortune tellers :thumbsup2:

It's not impossible to guess what a woman wants half the time. I would know because i've done it plenty of times with my girlfriend; i've known her since my childhood days.
