I have been noticing an increase in the amount of problems that seem to be related to the memory brand G.Skill.
Have other people been seeing this?
I see that Trouble has had problems with it.https://www.sysnative.com/forums/showthread.php/3142-BSOD-Kernel-iaStor
(Thanks for sharing Trouble!)
Does this mean that the RAM is sold at a overclocked speed (unknown to the punter) and should be thought of as overclocked when purchasing?
By increasing the speed, it is logical to me that it is going to require more power. But to be honest, I am not real comfortable telling the user to increase the voltage of their RAM to resolve a problem.
I must say I have been using Kingston RAM for many years and never had a problem.
