But the feeling of relaxation after the end of the cleaning process is priceless. This is where Placebo Cleaner comes in." Placebo Cleaner does nothing but makes you feel good about "cleaning" your desktop or laptop computer. Download Placebo Cleaner Portable - Vovsoft Last edited: Apr 12, 2022

Corinne, You are 100% correct, and I am in absolute agreement with you and that policy, but note well the name of this `cleaner`: Placebo. I do believe that this is a joke (now confirmed as an April Fools Day joke, even though the software is real). Even if it's software, we know that placebos don't do anything. Heaven knows if I could put a placebo cleaner in the hands of everyone who insists on using one that makes them feel better, but that does nothing, I'd do it in a heartbeat! The amount of devastation that occurs when one of the real things does something wrong is catastrophic, and when it doesn't harm anything it's no better than a placebo to begin with!

But this one is an 'dummy', it does nothing, hence the best registry cleaner ever! (See the spoiler above the screenshot). Therefore I posted this in the lounge as a joke...

I worked my way "back up" and found the page with the full description of Placebo where that's made clear. The name, however, was enough to clue me in. And this topic is not in The Lounge.

Interesting decision on someone's part, and not one I ever would have made! I hope it gets moved back to The Lounge, which is a more appropriate location by far.

My apology -- I was in a hurry because I had a meeting about to start and hadn't gotten further than the title before moving it and posting my reply.
