Computers are supposed to make our lives easier, yet sometimes it feels like they exist only to cause us endless amounts of frustration.
Popular advice for slow computers includes antivirus, RAM upgrades, or even reinstalling Windows from scratch, but these make a lot of assumptions about what's wrong with your computer (that may not be true).

Good info for the average consumer. Most of it I have learned from you, Ken, John C. and John G., etc. etc., so it no longer applies, but that would have been a great article for me to read a year or two ago. :-}

Great article as I sent it on to neighbor who knows absolutely zero on computers.
We all had to start from zero but have progressed along the way but doubt if she will move to far from the Start button.
