Window's Update nor Window's Defender will allow itself to be turned on. I have run scannow command prompt as the Administrator and was notified the following: unable to repair windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log
I downloaded and ran the suggested software previously posted within this thread and was given the following in response:
SFCFix version 2.1.0.0 by niemiro.

Not using a script file.
